Set up your first automation

Create an abandoned cart recovery flow that runs automatically.

Abandoned cart automations recover sales from shoppers who started checkout but didn't finish. Set it up once and it runs forever. Here's how.

Prerequisites

  • Email settings configured (Settings → Email) so Saleporia can send emails
  • Customer accounts enabled (Settings → Customers) so shoppers can be identified

1. Open Automations

Go to Marketing → Automations (/admin/marketing/automations). You'll see the available automation types: Welcome, Abandoned cart, Post-purchase, and Win-back.

2. Create the abandoned cart automation

  1. 1

    Click Create automation

    Choose the Abandoned cart type.
  2. 2

    Configure the trigger

Set how long to wait after checkout is abandoned before sending (e.g. 1 hour). Too soon feels pushy; too late and they've lost interest.
  3. 3

    Design the email

Write a friendly reminder. Include a link back to the cart and a clear CTA. Optionally offer a small discount to nudge completion.
  4. 4

    Save

Name your automation and save it.

3. Activate

Click Activate. The automation is now live. Every shopper who starts checkout but doesn't complete will receive your reminder email after the delay you set.

4. Monitor performance

Check the automation's run history to see how often it fires and how many recover. The stats card on the automations list shows total runs across all automations. Pause the automation anytime to stop it without losing your config.

Start with one

Don't set up all four automations at once. Start with abandoned cart (highest ROI), measure results for a couple of weeks, then layer in welcome and post-purchase flows.
